History :
The history of Katanga is rich and can be traced back to the 14th and 15th centuries. Its multiple kingdoms have left a lasting legacy considered the keeper of traditions in that part of Africa. However with the advent of technology and the influence of western cultures, the people of Katanga have had to double their efforts in order to keep their history current and relevant for present and future generations.

Culture :
Katanga culture is rich and diverse. With Swahili as the national language, Katanga is known for a multitude of ethnic groups and languages. IPECK strives to strengthen the cultural heritage of Katanga and to promote it in the region, on the continent, and the world.

Environment :
The soil of Katanga is rich with natural resources and minerals, which have been mined aggressively since the arrival of the former colonial powers. However, this intense mining can have and has had deleterious effects on the fauna and flora. IPECK will endeavor to raise awareness and to engage with the mining companies who can improve the working conditions, lessen negative environmental impacts and promote global standards for safety and ecological preservation.

Education and Skills Training :
Every child has the right to education. Without basic education, the people of KATANGA cannot compete on the global stage. IPECK promotes skills tranining as well as general education for children and yound adults living in the rural areas as well as urban areas of Katanga.

Health :
Everybody must have access to healthcare and basic immunizations. IPECK strives to ensure that all children in Katanga have access to basic health services. This effort will extend to all individuals living in Katanga, including populations living in rural areas as well as people with disabilities and others with access and functional needs.
